Welcome to Bloggi

Thank you for signing up! I’m happy that you’re here.

Here are a few things that you should know about using Bloggi.

Using the editor

The first thing you should know is that Bloggi uses Markdown for formatting. Markdown is a simple formatting syntax for converting plain text into HTML. If you don’t know it, fear not, it’s easy to learn. For example, you can make text bold like this, or italic like this. Here’s a short Markdown guide for you.

You can click the “Preview” button at the top to see how a post looks before publishing it, and hit “Publish” after it’s ready.

You can add tags, set a custom excerpt, URL slug, or publishing date in the “Settings” dropdown at the top right. You can also schedule a post by setting a future publishing date.

To add images, just drag and drop them into the editor and they’ll be automatically uploaded and added to the document. Pasting an image from the clipboard works too. An image looks like this:

You can also zoom in on an image by clicking on it.

If you add multiple images together, on consecutive lines, they’ll form a gallery:

Customizing your blog

You can customize your blog by adding a profile picture (if it’s a personal blog) or a logo (if it’s a company blog), setting an accent color, and even adding custom code from the settings screen. More customization options will come soon.

You can also add static pages, create a navigation, and add external links (to your social media profiles, for example).

Finally, you can use your own custom domain by adding it in the settings and following the instructions to point it to Bloggi.
